Please join us in congratulating Soror Patricia A. Smith, who was elected to serve on the Municipal Executive Committee for the City of Jackson on April 1, 2025.

The Municipal Executive Committee oversees local elections by preparing the primary by ward, certifying candidates, organizing polling places, and ensuring a fair and lawful process.

Patricia will be sworn in on today July 1, 2025, at 10:20 a.m. on the steps of the Hinds County Courthouse. There, she will begin her service by helping to lead the planning and execution of Jackson’s 2025 Municipal Primary Election.
