JMAC Empower “Her” Award

The May Week Committee presented The Empower “Her” Award for the month of January to Gloria Ball.

Gloria is a huge asset to the Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter family! She serves with pride, dedication, integrity, and passion. Gloria is in her third year as chair for the Physical & Mental Health Committee and she has shined in this role. She has worked diligently to ensure that each objective and goal was met.

Gloria is member of the Executive Board. Projects and collaborations such as St. Jude Run/Walk, Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, Suicide Prevention forums, SHE Project, Go Red/Healthy Heart and partnership with the MS State Hospital had a significant impact on the chapter. Gloria has motivated and encouraged committee members to grow in delta and take advantage of leading, learning, and trying new things. She is one of a kind and JMAC is blessed to have her.

In addition to leading Physical & Mental as the committee chair, Gloria is involved with Educational Development as a committee member and parent volunteer. She has also served as an EB Retreat presenter and coach for new chairs.

Gloria completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from MS College.

Gloria’s biggest accomplishment and what she is most proud of is being MOMMY to her 16-year old daughter, Hailey!
