The Arts and Letters Committee promotes and support cultural arts in the community and develop programs in accordance with the Grand Chapter’s directions.
The Awards committee recognizes the exemplary programs and outstanding work of the chapter, with a strong focus on the Sorority’s mission and Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.
The Courtesy Committee is tasked with extending courtesies, including condolences and recognition to chapter members, and honoring visiting Sorors engaged in speaking engagements. Additionally, the committee plays a pivotal role in fostering a hospitable environment at chapter meetings, Delta-sponsored events, and other activities as directed by the President or Chairperson, promoting a spirit of sisterhood among members, Sorors, and guests.
The Educational Development Committee focuses on financial literacy, offering programs and resources for financial planning, consumer education, investments, and employment opportunities. Additionally, it supports academic excellence by implementing scholarship programs within the Chapter’s service area.
The Economic Development Committee develops programs and activities aimed at fostering community growth. Additionally, it provides support to established programs that enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged segments of the population.
The Emergency Response Team ensures readiness to address major natural disasters locally and in accordance with national mandates. It develops and executes strategic plans to anticipate and prepare members of the chapter for emergency situations, fostering proactive survival strategies.
The Founders Day Committee plans and coordinates the program to honor the Founders of the Sorority.
The Fundraising Committee plans, organizes and coordinates appropriate events to raise funds for chapter programs and projects.
The International Awareness & Involvement Committee fosters cross-cultural understanding and global engagement by organizing projects that broaden knowledge of different nations, promote interest in international affairs, and celebrate diverse cultures. Additionally, it coordinates an International Observance Program aimed at strengthening friendships and addressing global challenges through cultural and educational initiatives.
The L.E.A.D Committee enhances leadership skills through structured programs. It provides mentorship support, supports mentees in goal achievement, and evaluates program effectiveness.
The May Week Committee plans, develops, and implements a program emphasizing higher education and academic achievement annually during the month of May. It also coordinates with local high schools to select participants/honorees for May Week Activities.
The Membership Services Committee coordinates bonding and sisterhood activities to foster chapter morale, manages reclamation and retention programs, and oversees hospitality and courtesies for members as outlined in the chapter’s policies and procedures.
Acts as chapter liaison to share Delta activities with other representatives and to present to the chapter information of the other organizations represented.
The Physical and Mental Health Committee develops and coordinates health and wellness initiatives, providing information and programs on physical health and mental well-being for both the membership and the community.
The Policies and Procedures Committee shall be responsible for drafting and submitting to the Chapter any amendments or changes that the Chapter or Grand Chapter deem necessary.
The Political Awareness and Involvement Committee offers political action training to the community, addresses issues supporting historically black colleges and universities, organizes grassroots neighborhood groups, and provides assistance in other relevant ways to the political process.
The protocol and Traditions Committee provides clear and authentic descriptions of the traditions and protocol of the sorority.
The Publicity Committee ensures that all notable actions and activities of the chapter are submitted to various news media outlets.
The Risk Management Committee ensures that all programs adhere to national and regional guidance concerning compliance, reporting, and chapter accountability to mitigate potential risks effectively.
The Rituals and Ceremonies Committee supports the chapter by implementing various ceremonies, including Chapter Meetings, Omega Omega, Rededication, and others.
The Step Team Committee is responsible for developing routines for competition and/or exhibition.
The Technology Committee addresses the communication needs of the chapter and implements best practices to meet media and technology requirements. It creates, edits, and maintains the chapter’s website and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter) while also implementing technological solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of chapter operations.
